From Athens

Hydra is about 35 nautical miles from the port of Piraeus, from which depart flying dolphins to Hydra, which only take passengers. The trip lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes with flying dolphins and about 1 hour and 45 minutes with flying cat. At the summer days there are daily departures approximately every two or three hours. So you can organize even an one day trip, leaving in the morning from Piraeus and turning at night.

From Poros island

If you vacation in Poros, then you may go a few days or even one day in Hydra, located very close to Poros. From Poros you come to Hydra by flying dolphins in 30 minutes and flying cat in 40 minutes. There are itineraries from 9.00 in the morning, every two or three hours, until evening.

Also if you have a car, you come drive from Galatas, opposite Poros, in about 30 minutes to Metochi, across Hydra, following the coastal road. Leave your car in open spaces or in guarded parking and then you go to Hydra with scheduled services operated daily from the boats "FREEDOM I & II & III", in 20 minutes or WATER TAXI.

From Spetses island

If you vacation in Spetses, then you may go a few days or even one day in Hydra, located very close to Spetses. From Spetses you come to Hydra by flying dolphins in 30 minutes and flying cat in 40 minutes. There are itineraries from 9.00 in the morning, every two or three hours, until evening.

Also, if you have your car with you in Kosta, then there are two ways to cross over to Hydra island.

A. By car to Hernioni in 15 minutes and then you can cross over to Hydra with the boat SPEED BOAT "CHRISTOS", daily. The trip is 30 minutes long.

B. By car to Metochi in 45 minutes, opposite Hydra, following the coastal road. Leave your car in open spaces or in guarded parking and then you go to Hydra with scheduled services operated daily from the boats "FREEDOM I & II & III" in 20 minutes or WATER TAXI.

From Porto Xeli

If you vacation in Porto Xeli, then you may go a few days or even one day in Hydra, located very close to Porto Xeli. From Porto Xeli you come to Hydra by flying dolphins in 40 minutes and flying cat in 50 minutes. There are itineraries from 9.00 in the morning, every two or three hours, until evening.

Also, if you have your car with you in Porto Xeli, then there are two ways to cross over to Hydra island.

From Hermioni, for those who come by car from Kranidi, Porto Cheli, Kosta or other regions of the Peloponnese or from Athens, they can pass to Hydra island with the boat SPEED BOAT "CHRISTOS", daily, in 30 minutes.
